High-Protein Vegan Steak

If you struggle to reach your protein goals and aren’t very confident in the kitchen, this quick and easy recipe is perfect for you!
Necessary utensils:
- Large bowl 🥣
- Steamer (or similar device for steaming)
- Frying pan 🍳
Add all the dry ingredients into the large bowl.
Dry ingredients:
- Wheat Gluten Flour - 1 cup (120g) 🌾
- Beetroot powder - 2 tablespoons (16g) 🥄🥄
- Onion powder - 1/2 tablespoon (3.5g) 🧅
- Garlic powder - 1/2 tablespoon (3.5g) 🧄
- Vegetable stock cube - 1 (14g) 🍵
Mix the dry ingredients until you get a uniform powder.
Liquid ingredients:
- Water - 1 cup (237g) 💧
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons (31g) 🥄🥄
- Oil - 1 tablespoon (13.6g) 🥄
➡️ Add the water to the bowl with the dry ingredients and initially mix with a spoon until it begins to form a dough. Once the water is absorbed and a dough forms, knead a little by hand to fully incorporate the ingredients.
👆🏼 First, place the dough in the steamer for 15 minutes. Remove the dough from the steamer and place on a board. Cut the dough into fillets approximately a finger’s thickness. Heat the oil in the frying pan over high heat, then place the fillets in the pan and cook for 3 minutes on each side. 🧂 Add salt and pepper before turning them over. After flipping, pour the 2 tablespoons of soy sauce over the top and allow it to evaporate.
🙌🏽 Ready! Enjoy with low-calorie barbecue sauce and roasted potatoes or any other side dish.
